Our Youth Director
PhLY Youth Director
Casey Goslin knew from the time he was in First Grade he would be in ministry. As a young child he attended American Lutheran in Phoenix and went to Martin Luther School from K-8 and then graduated from Valley Lutheran High School. As a teenager Casey was very active in three day retreats including Arizona Lutheran Tirosh and Chayah, a 3 day retreat inside the Youth Corrections facility of Adobe Mountain/Black Canyon. Casey lead his first youth group when he was 15 and has been leading youth for over 25 years. In the Fall of 2001 Casey attended Wartburg Seminary's Center for Youth Ministry and became a Certified Youth Minister. Since being Certified Casey has worked with youth and churches in Phoenix and East Valley. Casey has worked with Campformation, Wyld Life, and C.A.L.L.
Casey's personal mission statement is
"Impacting the youth of today to be the spirit-filled leaders of tomorrow."
Casey is married to Nicole and is the father of four amazing kids. When he is not leading youth he enjoys his home away from home, Disneyland, several times a year. He has been blessed to live out all of his childhood dreams including being a local rock star in his teens and an indy professional wrestler in his 20s. Casey has experience as a preschool teacher, youth corrections officer, and collectible toy seller. He has several stories he likes to share from his life and has a unique way of making them relate to his faith.
Casey is available for seminars, trainings, lock-ins, and retreats. He specializes in team building activities, public speaking, event planning, fund raisers, and helping you identify your strengths and encourage you in your call.
PhLY (Phoenix Lutheran Youth) High School Ministry brings together high school youth, grades 9-12, from all over the Phoenix area for a monthly event of games, food, service projects, and faith based conversations.
This is a radical new approach to youth ministry for smaller churches to bring their youth together to create a larger youth gorup experience. PhLY does not replace the youth ministry happening at a congregational level, but adds in a community element by bringing youth and churches together in fellowship.
Along with the monthly events, the PhLY Ministry participates in a Winter Retreat and a Summer Mission Trip.
