Our October 2019 event, hosted by Shepherd of the Valley, encouraged youth to put the phones away and begin to communicate with each other. We participated in several activities around listening to each other speak as well as paying attention to non-verbal cues. At the end of the evening we made IV Machine covers for the Phoenix Children's Hospital. These fun covers go over the IV machines while children are receiving chemo-therapy. These covering help cover the "scary machines" so the children can feel more at ease. This service event was in cooperation with https://www.anilupartners.com/ "No More Poopy Cells." I encourage you to check out their site and participate in the cause.
